Founded in 1919, the New York Daily News was the first US daily newspaper printed in tabloid format. In 2021 their staff founded the Daily News Union. We created a bold identity for the union that speaks to the paper's rich heritage, reintroducing Daily News Gothic (Digitized by Hex), a bespoke typeface that was used for the paper's front-page headlines from 1939-1985.
